Background
Chemical, petroleum, metallurgical and food processing industries involve harsh operating conditions and diverse conveyed media, such as corrosive liquids, particle-laden slurry, high-viscosity sauces and fumed silica. These demanding media require process valves to deliver superior tightness, anti-clogging performance and high cleanliness.
Running round-the-clock, conventional T/L-type three-way ball valves generate excessive flow resistance and eddy currents. They are susceptible to medium accumulation, seal abrasion and fluid leakage, resulting in high energy consumption, frequent maintenance and potential safety & environmental risks for hazardous and food-grade materials.
GRAT’s oil-free degreased Y-type pneumatic three-way ball valve features an optimized inclined flow path and premium materials. Engineered for complex process conditions, it excels at handling high-purity media including fumed silica, sustaining stable, secure and contamination-free fluid control.
Key challenge
- High energy consumption & frequent clogging Right-angle flow channels of traditional three-way valves cause high flow resistance, severe pressure loss and intense eddy current. Media with solid particles, high viscosity or fine powder easily deposit in dead zones and block pipelines, interrupting continuous production.
- Poor sealing & potential safety risks Ordinary seals are vulnerable to corrosion and particle abrasion, resulting in poor tightness. Leakage of hazardous media and ingress of external impurities pose major threats to production safety, environmental protection and food hygiene.
- Inadequate cleanliness for high-purity working conditions Common valves retain internal oil and contaminants without degreasing treatment, which will pollute fumed silica, food sauces and other high-purity media and fail to meet industry cleanliness standards.
- Slow response & insufficient emergency protection Conventional pneumatic valves feature slow switching action and lack air failure protection. Unexpected air cut-off will cause fluid disorder and disrupt automated production.

Performance Result
- Low resistance & anti-clogging, energy saving The Y-type inclined flow channel conforms to fluid mechanics, weakens eddy current and reduces pressure loss. With no dead zones inside, it effectively prevents medium deposition and pipeline blockage, cuts energy consumption and guarantees non-stop production.
- Class VI high-performance sealing for enhanced safety The composite sealing structure resists corrosion and particle abrasion. Class VI tight sealing prevents hazardous medium leakage and external impurity ingress, fully meeting requirements for high-risk chemical and high-standard production.
- Oil-free & degreased for clean production Complete degreasing treatment eliminates internal oil and residues, avoiding contamination of high-purity media and complying with strict cleanliness standards for food processing and fine chemical industries.
- Fast response & reliable emergency protection Quick switching within 5 seconds matches automated production demands. The fail-lock function keeps the valve status stable during sudden air failure, effectively avoiding production accidents.
- Durable materials & lower maintenance costs 304 stainless steel combined with F46 delivers excellent wear, corrosion and oxidation resistance. Its service & maintenance cycle is over 60% longer than traditional valves, greatly reducing replacement and downtime costs.
